What we collect when you design and order, why, and who else sees it. We collect what we need to make and ship your piece, and nothing for advertising.

Draft of October 14, 2026Not yet reviewed by a lawyer

The short version

  • We use your design chats and order details to make, ship and support your order.
  • We don’t sell your information, share it for advertising, or use your designs to train AI.
  • A few services help: the AI services that make your design, Stripe for payment, and the carrier for shipping.
  • Email us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

What we collect

  • Your designs: what you tell the design assistant, its replies, every revision it makes, including the 3D height maps, and any photos or logos you add for it to draw from.
  • Your account: your email address. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, the name, email and profile picture they share with us.
  • Your orders: your name, email, shipping address, phone number if you give one, what you ordered and what you paid, a gift message and name if you write one, and the photos we take of your finished pieces at the laser.
  • Payment: Stripe handles your card. We see only limited details, like the card brand and last four digits, never the full number.
  • Quote requests: your name, organization, email, phone if you give one, and what you tell us about the order.
  • Messages: emails you send us.
  • Technical details: like every website, our hosting records your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, to keep the site working and secure.
  • Your showcase choice: whether you let us show your design.
  • Reminders: if you tick “Remind me before this day next year” when you order, the day you give and when you asked.

How we use it

  • To run the design assistant and make your designs.
  • To make, pack and ship your order, and to email you about it: receipts, engraving and shipping updates, and ship date changes.
  • To answer your questions and put right anything that goes wrong.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep the records tax and accounting rules require.

We only email you about your designs, orders and quote requests, and, if you ask for it, once a year before the day you gave us. We won’t add you to a mailing list without asking.

AI and your designs

Your messages to the design assistant go to Anthropic, which makes Claude, the model behind it. Your design descriptions, and any photos or logos you add, go to our image service, which draws the artwork. They process them to send us the result. The assistant itself never sees your photos: only the image service does.

We don’t use your chats or designs to train AI models. Image service’s terms to confirm

Please don’t put anything in the chat that you wouldn’t want the assistant and these services to see, like passwords or card numbers.

Who else sees it

A few services help us run the shop. Each one gets only what it needs for its job:

Anthropic
Runs the design assistant (Claude). Gets: Your messages to the assistant.
Our image service Name to come
Draws the artwork and works out its depth. Gets: Design descriptions, your photos and logos, and the images made from them.
Google, Meta (Facebook)
Sign-in, if you choose it. Gets: That you signed in to our site.
Stripe
Takes payment and works out sales tax. Gets: Your email, addresses, order total and card details.
Shippo and USPS
Shipping labels and tracking. Gets: Your name, shipping address and phone, if given.
Convex
Our database and file storage. Gets: Everything we keep, listed above.
Vercel

Our email service Name to come
Sends order emails. Gets: Your name, email and order details.

We also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or if the business is sold, in which case this policy still applies to it.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.

Showing your design

We show a design on our site only if you check the box for it when you order. We never show names, addresses or order details with it. Changed your mind? Email us and we’ll take it down.

Cookies and tracking

We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no ad networks run on our site. We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in, and to keep your designs and order on this device until you sign in.

Stripe’s checkout page sets its own cookies to prevent fraud.

Analytics: none yet.

Because we don’t track you across other sites, we treat every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

How long we keep it

  • Order records, including what you ordered, where it went and what you paid: as long as tax and accounting rules require. Period to confirm
  • Designs on an order: long enough to remake a piece if something goes wrong. Period to confirm The photos and logos you added are deleted 14 days after your order arrives, once the time to report a problem is over; the design stays, so you can order it again.
  • Designs you never order: deleted after 12 months without any activity, with any photos and logos you added.
  • Technical details: a short time, as set by our hosting provider.

Your choices

Email us to get a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We check that the request comes from the email on your designs or orders first, and we keep what tax and accounting rules require.

Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights. We honor them as the law requires.

Children

Our site isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Keeping it safe

Your information travels over encrypted connections, card details stay with Stripe, and only the people who run the shop can see orders. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

Where it’s stored

We’re a US shop serving US customers, and our services store and process data in the United States. Each provider’s region to confirm

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we email you before it takes effect.
